We’ve just finished our training! Unveiling the Environ TCA Cool Peel

We are thrilled to announce that Mary Jeffrey’s has received clearance to introduce the remarkable TCA Cool Peel facial to our clients, having completed our training in Environ’s newest peeling system for ultimate skin rejuvenation - the Environ TCA Cool Peel. Find out what we found out about the brilliant new peeling system on our course below…

Procedures and products that promote ‘peeling’ have become more and more popular over the last few years because of their notable improvement of skin’s appearance and texture. However, we only ever use Environ’s Cool Peels at our salon and skin clinic. This is because Cool Peels are far less harsh (which also means less downtime), which means the long term health of your skin is improved, rather than you sacrificing your future skin health for a current glow.

Environ’s Cool Peels

At the core of Environ’s peels lies an understanding of skin cell physiology – the importance of safeguarding and treating these cells with utmost care. Aggressive peeling can compromise the skin’s natural barrier, leading to increased water loss and vulnerability to environmental toxins. Environ Cool Peels skillfully only remove the outer layer of damaged cells, healthy calls are unaffected, while preserving the skin’s waterproofing qualities.

They excel in hydration and refinement, repairing cells and encouraging the skins natural exfoliation to unveil fresh, youthful skin. Particularly effective for addressing scarring, rough textures, sun damage, acne, and rosacea.

ENVIRON Cool Peel Facials employ various peeling systems, utilising acidic creams and gels instead of traditional acid solutions, this gives us much more controle throught the treatment. These peels aim to preserve as much epidermis as possible while delivering an effective concentration of hydronium ions into the dermis. Simultaneously, they stimulate fibroblasts in the dermis to boost collagen and elastin production.

“Environ has been the lone voice in the wilderness of peeling systems. For nearly 20 years I have insisted that there are major problems with the standard peeling systems used around the world. I learned the hard way that peeling can be dangerous and that is why I modified my attitude to peeling.” Dr. Des Fernandes, Environ Founder

What Skin Issues do Environ Cool Peels Treat?
They safely and effectively improve the appearance of:

  • Fine lines & wrinkles
  • Photo-damage
  • Dull, tired-looking skin
  • Dehydration
  • Blemish control cool peel treatment assists in unclogging pores and removing surface impurities for problematic and acne skins.
  • Rosacea and Eczema.

What’s different about the TCA Cool Peel?
Environ’s approach to peels stands out due to its unique philosophy and the distinctive nature of its TCA formulation. This method is characterised by its skin-friendly and barrier-protective strategy, often referred to as ‘the peel that doesn’t peel.’

There is a ‘sweet spot’ where the acid mildly stresses the keratinocytes in the skin, stimulating the release of various growth factors. Importantly, this process avoids causing harm to the cells, minimising downtime and eliminating the risk of skin irritation or stripping.

The released growth factors contribute to the rejuvenation of the skin by promoting the production of new collagen and elastin – giving visibly plumper, happier, healthier, softer skin.

The unique TCA cool peel by Environ includes…

  • A low percentage of acid combined with a low pH
  • Uses a self-neutralising acid, acting only on the skin’s surface
  • Ensures safety with minimal downtime
  • Utilises slow-drying gels and creams
  • Offers a safe and pleasant experience
  • Environ recommends a course of 6-12 peel treatments for optimal results, with visible improvements noticed after just one session. TCA also aids in unclogging pores and removing surface impurities for problematic skin.
